Why donate to the Rockland Parent-Child Center?

We provide valuable services

  • RPCC has a 23-year history of providing quality support, education and resource & referral programs for parents and children from all walks of life.
  • We are a community of families supporting each other and we rely on the larger community’s involvement to continue.
  • We serve hundreds of families each year including parents, children, caregivers, grandparents etc.
  • We provide a range of programs to families that represent the entire spectrum of our community from expectant parents, to parents with infants and toddlers, to families with school age children & teens, to families with special needs and parents who are incarcerated.
  • We provide parenting support to families who have been separated due to incarceration, Single Mothers, Adoptive Families, Head Start Families who are Spanish Speaking, Families with kids on the Autism Spectrum and Parents of Adolescents.

Your monetary donation will be put to great use

  • The bulk of your donation goes directly back into the programs and pays for such expenses as early childhood parent-child playgroups, support groups, salaries for our professional facilitators, salaries for our art therapists for our award winning Thematic Childcare programs, art supplies, and snacks and food for our FREE parenting support programs.
  • Approximately 30% of our yearly income comes from individual, in-kind donations and fundraising efforts.
  • We don’t turn anyone away from our programs for inability to pay. Your money helps to subsidize programs that parents cannot pay to participate in.
  • Your generosity is recognized in our Quarterly Newsletter and at Special Events RPCC hosts throughout the year.
There are other ways to support the Center
  • Donate products, services, gift certificates, trial memberships, etc. to be auctioned off at our fundraisers including; May River Auction, Fall for Music, Family Connections Dinner Dance & Silent Auction and others throughout the year. The Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization, so all gifts and donations are fully tax-deductible.
  • Donations of money and supplies (toys, kitchen and office supplies) and sponsorships of specific programs are always welcome. In the past year, we’ve partnered with many downtown area businesses for fund-raising and educational events.
  • Help us publicize events and programs by posting and distributing flyers at your business
  • Host or help us plan our events or programs - we are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers
  • Volunteer for our Family Connections mentoring programs; mentor a parent who has been incarcerated, mentor a youth whose mom or dad has been incarcerated.
