“Choices in Childbirth”

Join us for an informative evening with Deidre McLary, founder of Nyack Birth Services and Expectant Parent Program Coordinator of the Rockland Parent- Child Center, as she takes us on a journey to help us understand the myriad of birthing options available to us. Options discussed will include: hospital, birth center, or home through a variety of techniques from Bradley to Lamaze to Water Birth. Ms. McLary will also explain the network of community support available to us as expectant and new parents. This workshop, presented by The Rockland Parent Child-Center, A Place for All Families of Nyack at the Tappan Library, is open to the community.

“Birthing From Within”

A 6-weeks childbirth preparation class starting Sunday, January 27th, 1-3:30. Take control of your own birthing experience. Facilitated by Deirdre McLary.

Fee: Couples $240 members; $320 non-members. Lower rates for individuals. Scholarships/sliding scale available.

“BabyBasics: When Baby Comes Home…”

A 1 day Workshop For New and Expectant parents, Sunday, June 8th, 1-4pm. Feel more competent; Learn to trust your insticts & values. Covers change of lifestyle, choosing a practitioner, parenting 101 & more!

Fee: $35 non-members; $25 members.
Scholarships/sliding scale available.

“Birth Art”

Two classes, May 6 & 20th, 6-8pm — for Expectant Moms — Explore your thoughts, feelings and beliefs about birth through art. Mediums include drawing, clay, collage, beading, paint, wax, found objects and other artistic mediums.

Fees: $85 non-members, $75 members.
